Witches & Wandsticks

Witches & Wandsticks

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, we traveled to the Seattle area, and during a break in the rain we headed off to a nearby park in the Seattle suburb of Kirkland. Kirkland has a lot of great outdoor sculpture that we explored as we wandered through the downtown area. Being a kid, she climbed all over it. And being us, we figured out how it all tied into the world of the monstervores.

Here’s one of those stories:

“I was tired from all my walking, so an old grandma gave me a ride on her shoulder.”

“I was tired from all my walking, so an old grandma gave me a ride on her shoulder.”

“But she was a witch and made me sit down in her circle!”

“But she was a witch and made me sit down in her circle!”

(“What do witches do again?”

As official outbrain memory for all the Kabos lore she has made up and forgotten, I reminded her that witches down in Witchcat Manor down by the Witchmaw sometimes took people and merged them with animals to make new creatures.)

“The witches were going to make me and an otter and a seagull into a creature, but I didn’t want to be a creature so I picked up some sticks but they couldn’t see me making some magic wandsticks…”

“The witches were going to make me and an otter and a seagull into a creature, but I didn’t want to be a creature so I picked up some sticks but they couldn’t see me making some magic wandsticks…”

(If your own Kabos lorebrain is failing, this is where you might go back and review wandsticks.)

“And then I rubbed the wandsticks together to make FIRE! And the witches all ran away because witches don’t like fire.”
